What pisses me off are people who go and screw our country.
Today in Social Studies we were discuss the Exectutive Branch, and we learned about the electoral vote and the popular vote. I learned that the electors don’t really represent us. wtf is that shit?!?!? What happened to power of the people???
And to make things worse… Remember when former President Bill CLinton was impeached for lying? Hello??? WOuld you openly admit to the world you were cheting on your wife? What about JFK? And what about Bush? Clinton’s lie lost us nothing except maybe his wife’s trust in him. Bush’s lies lost us around 2,000 soldiers! Okay, how come nobody cares about this!!!! Bush is totally screwing us over, I swear to God, and noone’s doing anything about it! Oh, well there is this new thing where Bush has some connection with Nazism or whatever, and NOW they’re trying in impeach him.

Did they tell you that the elected rep’s can change their minds after the popular vote goes through and vote for another canadate. Casting the State vote for someone who the stats’s popular vote did not go for.
The electorial vote is antiquated process from a time when people had to travel thousands of miles to vote, because there was no real comunication across the country.
With todays technology the popular vote should count against all!
Want another Bush lie? He (the Gov’t) stated that 27% of oil refining was affected by Katrina hitting New Orleans. Want that REAL facts? New Orleans only does 3% oil refining.
The 27% refered to? Houston, TX and the Bay Canal area..
There was NO reason for the rise in gas prices except that it made $$$ for Bush’s friends in the Oil Inds…
Derek said exactly what I said, only with more detail. Electorals CAN definitely vote for who they want, even if it isn’t what the popular vote was. Of course, that’s not how they’re supposed to do thier jobs. They’re SUPPOSED to represent the citezens of the state. But they don’t care about that.
And I didn’t know about that oil thing, but now that you mention it, it does sounds right. And of course everyone knows about the “weapons of mass destruction in Iraq” And of course there isn’t any, The only REAL reason Bush went into Iraq was to take over and steal their oil. He also lied during the rescue of the victims of Hurricane Katrina; saying that the Superdome was all cleared when there was, in fact, still people there. And I’m pretty sure he’s lied about a bunch more other crap too.
i don’t like the electoral system either but unless ur runnin 4 pres i don’t think it’s gonna change. Hey that’s a good idea u should become the pres…lol.
