All About G

First, I’ll show you my high school records from way back when.

Finished reading? Okay, here are the records for me now:

60m dash – 8.58 sec
100m dash – (not until spring)
200m dash – 29.80 sec
Long Jump – 4.28m (that’s 14’00.05”)
Triple Jump – 9.58m (that’s 31’5.25”)

My comments on these… well, for some reason, I just can’t get myself to top speed in the 60. I think it’s because I don’t have the time to, or something. I’m much better in the 100 and 200. My 200m dash really sucked this past weekend. Why? Well I overprepped for it. I guess it’s because I was kinda paranoid (that last time I had run a 200 was in 10th grade) and all. But when I had finished it (I had practically died going around the last curve), I knew that I definitely can go fast, and you will all definitely see that when outdoor season rolls around, which will actually be in a couple of weeks, wootness!

My long jump is definitely the best I’ve ever jumped, which makes me really happy. My triple jump’s like, WOW. My high school record was only, what, 27’? And the first time I jumped here, I qualified for states with a jump of 30’. Pretty good, huh?

So I’m anticipating either states (if I’m going or not) or the first meet of the season. I’m really excited because I know I’ll definitely be improving my records, and who knows? Maybe I’ll qualify for more events and with better rankings. I’ll have to wait and see.

  1. You know, if you stop to think about it, you ran the 200 for the first time in about three years and over-prepped for it and you still ran it almost as fast as you did back in 10th grade! That’s kind of amazing and it seems to me you have nowhere to go but up.

After all, you’re still just a freshman. By the time you’re a senior …

    W00tness, indeed!
